Gate Staff Training & KT Manual
Understanding the ScanPass gate flow, ticket admissions, and outcome states.
1. Accessing the Gate Console
Staff members must sign in using the credentials generated by their Event Vendor. Staff accounts are explicitly scoped and locked to a single event for gate security.
2. The 4 Scanner Outcome States
When you scan a ticket, the scanner drawer will display one of the following full-screen feedback overlays. Pay close attention to colors and titles before admitting guests:
Green Card. The ticket is verified. Select the entering guest count and confirm admission. Once submitted, guests may pass.
Red Card. The scanned code was not found, or the administrator has invalidated/refunded this ticket. Do NOT admit guests.
Orange Card. The staff is assigned to Event A, but scanned a ticket for Event B. Access is denied; direct the customer to their correct gate.
Purple Card. All guests permitted under this ticket have already entered. Deny entry unless they have another valid ticket.
3. Offline Scanning Mode
ScanPass functions fully offline. If the venue loses internet connection, the system will save ticket scan logs in local storage cache. A warning badge will display showing the number of queued offline scans. The system will sync automatically once connectivity is restored.
